                           How we practice Fair Trade

Our delight is to search the corners of the world for enchanting certified fair-trade beads and products. In our quest we have discovered Kazuri ceramic beads from Kenya, BeadforLife recycled paper beads from Uganda, and hand-painted recycled Krobo beads from Ghana.

We also buy beads from several small companies that specialize in exquisite international beads created within fair-trade principles. Although not fair-trade certified, these bead companies know the craftspeople from whom they buy, pay them a fair living wage, confirm healthy working conditions, and promote projects to benefit the artisans’ communities. In our designs, these beads are labeled “fair trade standard.”

Our goal is to incorporate at least one fair-trade or fair-trade standard bead into every design we create.
